Trifles

He is sitting on the beach
under the Spanish sun
his feet in the sand
his face gets a tan
and he lets his eye travel
wide over the land

He gathers jellyfish
looks for coloured stones in the sea
eats grilled fish three times a day
watches the fishermen at sea

He tells trifles
lasting for hours
He is an office worker
he drives to the sea
for one week a year

Belanglosigkeiten

Er sitzt am Strand
unter der spanischen Sonne
Seine Füße im Sand
sein Gesicht ist braungebrannt
Und sein Blick
schweift weit über das Land

Er sammelt Quallen
sucht bunte Steine am Meer
ißt Bratfisch dreimal am Tag
und sieht den Fischern zu, auf See

Er erzählt Belanglosigkeiten
Stundenlang
Er ist Büroangestellter
und fährt ans Meer
für eine Woche im Jahr
